Wolves 'revive interest in Arsenal's Maitland-Niles'

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly back in for Ainsley Maitland-Niles after the versatile midfielder asked Arsenal for a loan exit.

The Gunners rejected a £15m offer for the 23-year-old from their fellow Premier League side in the summer.

Wolves instead turned to Barcelona's Nelson Semedo, but The Mirror suggests that Maitland-Niles - able to play in a variety of positions in midfield and defence - is back on their radar.

The England international is said to be seeking a move away from the Emirates Stadium for the next five months after struggling for minutes under manager Mikel Arteta.

Atletico Madrid have also previously showed an interest in Maitland-Niles, it is claimed, but the Arsenal academy product is expected to remain in the Premier League if a temporary exit is sanctioned.
