Wenger open to Rosicky stay

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he would like to keep midfielder Tomas Rosicky beyond the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.

Wenger said that the Czech player was a good influence to the rest of the team and that he still has a lot to offer the club, even at the age of 33.

"Tomas Rosicky will stay here at the end of the season," BBC Sport quotes Wenger as saying. "He is a marvellous player and contributes well to the team.

"He is certainly a typical Arsenal player in the way that he is mobile, technically sound and team orientates, so he is a fantastic football player."

Rosicky signed for Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in 2006.
