Arsene Wenger not expecting many additions

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits that he is not expecting to bring in many additions to the club during the summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he will not be looking to make a large number of additions to his squad in the summer.

Last year the Gunners broke their club-record fee to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid, and also added Mathieu Flamini and Yaya Sanogo on free transfers.

Wenger has revealed that his activity this summer will be similar to the last, but has warned supporters that business will not pick up until after the World Cup.

He told reporters: "It will be busy, but the main thing for us will be to keep the stability because we feel we are close. We want to add something that makes us even stronger, but, number wise, it will not be massive.

"From my experience, the World Cup years have always been very quiet until the end of the World Cup, with no players reachable.

"I believe this year again you will have to wait until July 15 to start going. You are not the only one who decides when the business is done because it's down to availability of players and the clubs who sell decide that."

Arsenal face West Bromwich Albion in their Premier League clash later today.
