Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey 'offered to Liverpool'

Atletico Madrid have reportedly offered Liverpool the chance to sign Thomas Partey during the next transfer window.

Despite having emerged as a key man at Wanda Metropolitano, Partey's £43.5m release clause makes him a target for a number of teams.

While Arsenal have been heavily linked with an approach for the Ghanaian, The Sun claims that Liverpool could rival the Gunners for the player's signature.

The report claims that Atletico are interested in putting together a straight-swap deal involving Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

With the 26-year-old a regular at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, that could lead to a proposal being quickly taken off the table.

Oxlade-Chamberlain still has over three years left on his contract at Anfield.
