Alex Song passes Barcelona medical

Alex Song has passed a medical examination with Barcelona ahead of his proposed move from Premier League side Arsenal.

The Cameroon international arrived in Spain over the weekend following Arsenal's decision to accept a bid in the region of £15m for his services.

He is now expected to sign a four-year contract at the Nou Camp, where he will join former Gunners teammate Cesc Fabregas.

All being well, reports have claimed that he will meet up with the Barcelona squad later this evening.

His first appearance could come during this week's Spanish Super Cup encounter against rivals and current champions Real Madrid.
