Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing a new long-term contract with academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe.
The 20-year-old emerged as one of Arsenal's key players last season, contributing four goals and seven assists in all competitions.
However, with just two years remaining on his existing terms at the Emirates Stadium, the Englishman has received interest from Aston Villa.
While the West Midlands outfit allegedly failed with a £30m bid earlier this month, it was suggested that they would increase their offer if Smith Rowe does not extend his stay in North London.
According to Birmingham Live, Arsenal have since held positive discussions with the youngster, who is keen to remain at his current club.
The report claims that the England Under-21 international is prepared to sign a contract which would keep him at Arsenal until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
