Robin van Persie returns for Arsenal talks

Robin van Persie is understood to have returned from holiday in the Caribbean to hold talks with Arsenal over his future.

With only one year left on his current deal, the 28-year-old striker confirmed earlier this week that he would not be signing a new contract with the club.

Manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis are now expected to sit down with the Dutchman in an attempt to change his mind, according to The Mirror.

Manchester City and Juventus have both been linked with a move for Van Persie.
