Report: West Ham United plot Theo Walcott move

West Ham United are reportedly preparing a summer bid for Arsenal and England attacker Theo Walcott.

West Ham United have reportedly added Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott to their shortlist of summer transfer targets.

Widespread speculation has claimed that the Hammers are eager to secure the services of at least one big-name player to mark their move from Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.

Liverpool frontman Christian Benteke has previously been mentioned, as have Walcott's current teammates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere.

However, the Brentwood Gazette claims that the Hammers have now switched their attention to 26-year-old Walcott.

The report adds that West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is prepared to facilitate the England international's desire to play regularly as a centre-forward, rather than out wide.

Walcott joined Arsenal from Southampton in 2006 and has gone on to score 54 Premier League goals for the Gunners.
