Robert Pires tells Arsenal to move for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Arsenal should move for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in this summer's transfer window, according to former Gunners attacker Robert Pires.

Unai Emery's side have recently been linked with a move for Wan-Bissaka, who has been in outstanding form since making his Premier League debut for Palace last term.

Pires has said that his former club "should definitely be looking to sign" the 21-year-old as current first-choice right-back Hector Bellerin is on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

"Arsenal should definitely be looking to sign Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window," Pires told bwin. "He's exactly the type of player that would suit the attacking full-back role that Arsenal like to play and he would definitely improve the team next season.

"Bellerin will have a long road to recovery and Arsenal won't be wanting to rush him back in too quickly. There's also the chance that his injury will be a recurring one so they need to have another full-back of the same high quality and I think Wan-Bissaka is that player."

Wan-Bissaka has missed Palace's last two Premier League games with a hamstring injury.
