Manuel Pellegrini: 'Alexis Sanchez is welcome at Hebei China Fortune'

Manuel Pellegrinii - now manager of Hebei China Fortune - says that Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez would be welcome at the Chinese club.

Manuel Pellegrini has said that Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez is welcome to join Hebei China Fortune "immediately", should he wish to do so.

With just 18 months left on his existing deal, Sanchez has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium and clubs from the Chinese Super League are said to be eyeing an approach for the Chilean international.

Arsenal are looking to tie the 27-year-old down to a long-term contract but Pellegrini has openly revealed that he would like to sign the attacker.

The former Manchester City boss is quoted by The Sun as saying: "If Alexis wants to come, we have a club for him right now. He can come to join us in China immediately.

"Alexis has always done things the right way. Chinese football is growing every day and the interest in going there is increasing all the time.

"Maybe at this moment it is difficult to get elite players to leave Europe for China but once they understand the environment and the great project that is building there I am sure many will come over."

Sanchez has scored 56 goals in 115 appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in July 2014.
