No Arsenal deal for Sebastian Perez

Atletico Nacional have confirmed that Sebastian Perez will not be joining Arsenal following a recent trial with the Premier League club.

The 20-year-old Colombian midfielder featured for the Gunners during their 3-1 win over Manchester City in pre-season.

"We already knew that and were waiting for the response, but that wasn't possible and the player will keep working with us," Atletico director Victor Marulanda told Winsports. "The possibility of joining Arsenal has been ruled out."

Perez signed his first professional contract with Atletico in 2011 after graduating from the club's youth academy.
