Mesut Ozil set for January loan exit?

Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil on an 18-month loan deal.

While Ozil has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season, it remains unclear whether the German will feature in the plans of proposed new boss Mikel Arteta.

After regularly preparing a team to line up in a 4-3-3 formation while assistant to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, there is a suggestion that the Spaniard may adopt similar tactics at the Emirates Stadium.

With that potentially not favouring Ozil, Fotomac claims that Fenerbahce are ready to renew their interest in the 31-year-old.

The report says that the Turkish giants would like to secure the playmaker's services until the end of the 2020-21 campaign, the same time that his contract expires at Arsenal.

Much could depend on whether Arsenal are prepared to pay a portion of Ozil's wages over that period.
