Djamel Mesbah insists that he wants to stay at AC Milan, despite interest from other clubs this summer.

Djamel Mesbah has sought to bring an end to the speculation regarding his future, stating that his desire is to earn a regular role at AC Milan.

The Algerian international has been linked with a move away from the Italian giants this summer.

Reports have suggested that the left-back has been subject to interest from Arsenal and Tottenham recently, but the 27-year-old insists he is only thinking about his future with Milan.

"It is flattering when you hear about teams with big reputations being interested in you and I am grateful to be linked with all of those teams," said Mesbah.

"However, I want to stay with AC Milan and fight to be in the starting lineup.

"I love Milan and I feel very happy here."

Mesbah signed a four-and-a-half year deal at the San Siro in January, joining from Lecce.
