Manchester City are reportedly close to completing the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion left-back Marc Cucurella.
The Premier League champions have already added attackers Erling Braut Haaland and Julian Alvarez to their ranks, but chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak recently revealed that the club will look to make "a couple more" signings ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
City are believed to be on the lookout for a new left-back and they have been strongly linked with 23-year-old Cucurella, who picked up Brighton's Player of the Season award after enjoyed a successful first year with the club.
The Seagulls are understood to value the Spaniard in the region of £45m, roughly three times what they spent to recruit the defender from Getafe last summer.
However, Spanish news outlet ElDesmarque reports that Man City are on the verge of signing Cucurella for a fee between £25m and £30m and a deal could be confirmed as soon as next week.
Cucurella, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, recently admitted that he would find it difficult to turn down a move to the Etihad Stadium if the opportunity was presented to him this summer.
The potential arrival of Cucurella at City could cast doubts over the future of Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
