Fernando Llorente interests Arsenal

Arsenal are said to be interested in signing Athletic Bilbao forward Fernando Llorente.

The 27-year-old displayed sublime form last season, scoring 24 goals in 46 games for the Europa League finalists.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of Llorente, but he is not prepared to make a move for the Spaniard until the future of Robin van Persie has been decided, according to the Daily Mail.

Llorente, who is part of Spain's 23-man squad for Euro 2012, has a £28m buy-out clause in his contract.
