Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear suggests that Arsenal are unlikely to recall Eddie Nketiah during the January transfer window.

Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear has suggested that Eddie Nketiah is likely to remain at Elland Road for the entire campaign.

Having joined on a loan spell from Arsenal, Nketiah has contributed four goals from two starts and four substitute outings in all competitions.

There have been claims that the 20-year-old and Brighton & Hove Albion's Ben White could be recalled by their parent clubs at the beginning of 2020.

However, Kinnear has attempted to play down that speculation by revealing some details about their agreements with the Premier League duo.

Kinnear is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "It's fairly standard in these contracts to have January recalls, but the decision is based on how well the loan's going so if the players are playing, and they're playing well, they're enjoying their football and they're developing, which I think we can evidence in both Ben and Eddie's case, then you'd be fairly confident that they recall wouldn't be activated by the parent club."

Leeds currently sit at the top of the Championship table.
