Fiorentina 'to make loan bid for Torreira'

Fiorentina are reportedly prepared to pay £7.5m in order to push through a season-long loan deal for Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.

Fiorentina are reportedly prepared to up their efforts to sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.

Having endured a mixed two years at the Emirates Stadium, Torreira is being tipped to return to Serie A, where he previously starred for Sampdoria.

Fiorentina have been one of several Italian clubs to be linked with the Uruguay international, who is valued in excess of £20m.

However, according to La Sampa, Viola want to put together a loan proposal which includes the obligation to buy the 24-year-old next summer.

With £7.5m being given to Arsenal courtesy of the loan agreement, Fiorentina wish to pay a further £16m at the end of the campaign.

Torino are also said to be considering an approach for Torreira before the beginning of the new season.
