Eljero Elia would "prefer" a move to England

Hamburg winger Eljero Elia would prefer playing in England rather than joining a club in Italy or Turkey, according to the player's representative.

Juventus and Galatasaray have been strongly linked with the Dutch international but his agent Klaus Vink has said that Elia would rather move to the Premier League.

"HSV and Juventus are negotiating," Vink told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. "Galatasaray have also contacted HSV."

Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in the 24-year-old.

"There are two interesting sides from England who have stated that they are interested," Vink added.

"The player would prefer a move to that league. I have advised the England clubs to reach an agreement with HSV quickly."

Elia has made 22 appearances for the Dutch national team, scoring twice.
