A report claims that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to sign James Maddison, but Chelsea are also showing an interest in the Leicester City ace.

Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly both showing an interest in Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison.

The 24-year-old played a direct part in 13 Premier League goals last season, despite injuries restricting him to 24 starts.

Maddison was not included in England's Euro 2020 squad, but his future at the King Power Stadium still remains a hot topic of discussion.

According to football.london reporter Chris Wheatley, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of the former Norwich City ace.

However, should Arsenal push forward with their interest in Maddison, it is claimed that they may face competition from London rivals Chelsea.

The Blues are said to have eyed the Englishman as a possible replacement for Hakim Ziyech, who continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
