Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin joins Charlton Athletic on loan

Championship side Charlton Athletic have signed Francis Coquelin from Arsenal on a 28-day loan until December.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who has made 43 appearances for Arsenal, moves across London to join Charlton with the hope of more first-team football having played just once for the Gunners this season in the Capital One Cup.

The midfielder spent last term on loan at Freiburg in the Bundesliga, making 19 appearances for the German side.

He will wear the number 12 shirt and could make his debut in tomorrow night's game against Leeds United at Elland Road.
