Barcelona have reportedly indicated that they will need to find a replacement before selling Memphis Depay.
The Dutchman has been at Camp Nou for only a year, but previous reports have suggested that he could be on the move in the summer.
Arsenal have been credited with showing an interest in the former Lyon player, with the North London side looking to strengthen in the final third.
However, according to The Mirror, Barcelona will only let Depay leave this summer if they can find a suitable replacement.
The report suggests that Xavi is happy to retain the services of Depay if Barcelona are unsuccessful in their quest to bolster the forward line.
Depay's debut season at the Catalan outfit yielded 13 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.
