Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis insists that money will be available to manager Arsene Wenger for next month's transfer window.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has insisted that there will be "significant funds" for next month's transfer window.

The North London outfit have come under pressure recently following their poor run in the Premier League, but it was intensified earlier this week when the Gunners were booted out of the League Cup in the quarter-finals by losing on penalties to League Two side Bradford City.

Gazidis met members of the Arsenal Supporters' Trust to apologise and explain that money will be available to manager Arsene Wenger to strengthen in the winter window.

"He thanked away fans for their support and said Arsenal will put [the Bradford defeat] right and confirmed that significant funds are available for transfers," London24 quotes AST spokesman Tim Payton as saying.

Arsenal currently sit seventh in the league table.
