Arsenal 'to move for Santos teen Gabriel Barbosa'

Arsenal reportedly submit an offer for Santos teen Gabriel Barbosa after missing out on Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

Arsenal are reportedly keen to sign Santos star Gabriel Barbosa this summer after missing out on Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The Gunners were believed to have activated Vardy's £20m release clause, but the 29-year-old snubbed their interest in favour of agreeing a new deal with the Premier League champions.

In an attempt to boost his attacking options, manager Arsene Wenger has now turned his attention to Barbosa by submitting a formal offer, according to ESPN Brasil.

The report adds that the 19-year-old has also attracted interest from the Chinese Super League, but he is keen to move to the Emirates.
