Arsenal 'in advanced talks with Fiorentina over Stevan Jovetic swoop'

Arsenal have reportedly stepped up negotiations with Fiorentina over signing striker Stevan Jovetic this summer.

The Gunners, who have been linked with the 23-year-old for some time, are thought to have held preliminary talks with the Italian club a number of weeks ago.

It has since emerged that the Premier League outfit are confident of securing Jovetic's signature for less than £20m, despite Fiorentina stating that they want between £25m and £30m for the forward, according to Goal.com.

Reports have claimed that Arsenal will start the bidding at £17m when the summer window opens on May 20.
