Arsenal are reportedly interested in Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

The Gunners sent a scout to watch the Belgium international in action in Villa's 0-0 draw with West Ham United on Saturday, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims that the scout was also monitoring the form of Hammers centre-back Winston Reid, who has cropped up on the Gunners' radar following his performances this season.

Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-0 on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points.
