Sporting Lisbon reportedly tell Arsenal to cough up the full €60m (£51m) if they want to sign teenage attacker Tiago Tomas this summer.

Arsenal have reportedly been told to fork out €60m (£51m) for the signature of Sporting Lisbon starlet Tiago Tomas.

The 18-year-old - who is competent up front or on the wing - enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the Portuguese champions in the 2020-21 season, banking six goals and four assists across all competitions.

Tomas's performances are understood to have attracted the interest of Arsenal - and technical director Edu in particular - but his stock has risen dramatically since the Gunners were first linked with a move in January.

With the attacker only penning a five-year extension with Sporting last summer, Record claims that Arsenal would have to trigger his €60m (£51m) release clause in order to secure his signature.

Tomas remains contracted to Sporting until 2025, meaning that the Portuguese giants are under no pressure to sell, and they are reportedly hopeful that his value could rise higher with some strong showings in the Champions League next term.

The teenager rose through the youth ranks at Sporting and has made 42 appearances for the senior team since his debut last July.
