Arsenal have plotted to make a £20m move for Inter Milan full-back Federico Dimarco in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with several left-backs in recent weeks as a result of the continued injury problems suffered by first-choice Kieran Tierney for much of the 2021-22 campaign.
Bologna's Aaron Hickey is one of the names said to be interesting Mikel Arteta's side, who remain unconvinced over current backup option Nuno Tavares.
The latest name to be targeted as cover for Tierney is Inter's Dimarco, with The Sun reporting that the Premier League outfit will have to stump up around £20m to get their man.
The 24-year-old has come through the academy in the Italian capital, but after being sent out on loan to Ascoli and Empoli, Dimarco was sold to Swiss side Sion for around £3.4m in 2017.
However, Inter activated a buyback clause to bring the Italian back to the club for around £4.4m the following summer, before being sent out on further loan deals to Parma and Hellas Verona in recent years.
As a result, Dimarco has made just 36 Serie A appearances for the club to date, with 32 of these arriving in the 2021-22 campaign.
Although, just 13 of these were starts, but despite using the defender sparingly, Inter have Dimarco's future in Italy tied down until June 2026 as things stand.
