Report: Arsenal in pole position to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain

Arsenal are in pole position to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in a £31.2m deal, according to reports.

Premier League outfit Arsenal are leading the race to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain ahead of Liverpool, according to reports.

The 26-year-old, who has scored 30 goals in 61 appearances for the Serie A giants, is said to be unsettled in Italy and eager to leave the San Paolo for a fresh start.

The Daily Star claims that the Gunners have opened talks with Napoli and Higuain over a potential move to the Emirates, the forward being valued at £31.2m.

Liverpool reportedly made a bid for the Argentine in the summer, which was turned down.
