Arsenal are reportedly considering whether to loan summer signing Marquinhos in January due to lack of appearances so far this season.

Arsenal are reportedly considering loaning out their summer signing Marquinhos following a lack of game time.

Marquinhos, 19, arrived from Sao Paulo in a £3m deal and has only made four appearances so far this season.

All of his minutes this season have come in the Europa League so far, with one goal and one assist in just three appearances totalling 148 minutes.

However, his Premier League 2 record for the Arsenal Under-21 side is strong with four goals in five games, as well as two assists on top of that.

A report has claimed that Arsenal will now decide whether to keep him in their squad for the remainder of the season or allow him to leave on loan to get first-team experience.

It was also revealed that the Gunners had looked at loaning Marquinhos out when he arrived this summer, but he decided to stay to be involved in the Europa League.

With plenty of games coming up following the World Cup, Arsenal will be mindful of the size of their squad if they are involved in four competitions by the time club football resumes.

If he were to leave, reports have claimed that Facundo Torres at Orlando City and Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk are high on Mikel Arteta's wish list.
