Arsenal close in on Lukas Podolski

Arsenal will reportedly complete the signing of German international Lukas Podolski later this month.

The Gunners are said to have agreed personal terms with the 26-year-old and a fee of £10.8m with his club side Cologne, according to Goal.com.

However, recent reports that the striker had undergone a medical with Arsenal's medical staff are now believed to be untrue.

Instead, he will undergo an examination to test his fitness at the end of the season, when Arsenal plan to unveil him as a new signing.

Podolski has made 95 appearances for Germany.
