Team News: Sergio Aguero returns to Manchester City starting lineup

After missing Manchester City's last four games with a heel injury, Sergio Aguero starts away at Arsenal.

Sergio Aguero will spearhead the Manchester City attack during tonight's clash away at fellow Premier League title challengers Arsenal.

The Argentine striker has missed City's last four matches with the heel injury that he picked up during the 3-1 win over Southampton in November.

However, he has recovered sufficiently to start against the Gunners at the expense of Wilfried Bony, who has dropped down to the bench, where he will be joined by summer signing Raheem Sterling.

Elsewhere, Kevin De Bruyne has been reinstated to the starting lineup by manager Manuel Pellegrini, but captain Vincent Kompany remains absent with a calf complaint.

As for the hosting North Londoners, Arsene Wenger has stuck with the same side that won 2-0 away at Aston Villa last time out.

There had been suggestions that Alexis Sanchez would be fit enough to return to the squad, yet Wenger has opted not to risk the Chilean as he continues to recover from a hamstring problem.

Arsenal: Cech; Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Flamini, Ramsey; Walcott, Ozil, Campbell; Giroud

Manchester City: Hart; Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Toure, Delph; De Bruyne, Silva; Aguero
