Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has hit back at former Gunner Samir Nasri over comments about the club's recent success.
Nasri, who left the Emirates Stadium to join Manchester City in the summer, picked up a Premier League winners' medal with the Blues on Sunday.
The Frenchman later told Arsenal fans to celebrate their third-place finish while he 'focuses on winning titles'.
However, Wilshere has said that he hopes to rub some future success in Nasri's face.
"I don't know what goes on in his head," Wilshere told The Guardian. "Fair play, he has won a trophy, but over the next couple of years our goal is to win a trophy and I can see us winning a trophy.
"Maybe he spoke too soon and hopefully we can rub his face in it next year."
Wilshere is expected to return for the Gunners before the start of next season after missing the last campaign with an ankle injury.
