Reports suggest that former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is open to a return to Japan's J-League.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly open to a return to Japan's J-League.

The Frenchman, who joined the Gunners from Nagoya Grampus Eight more than two decades ago, would give "serious thought" to a job offer from a club in the Far Eastern country's top flight, according to the Daily Mail.

Wenger is said to be on the radar of several clubs in Europe and the United States after calling time on his 22-year Arsenal career at the end of the season.

However, the report suggests that Japan could be his preferred destination if the right offer comes in.

Former Seville and Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery was recently unveiled as Wenger's successor at the Emirates Stadium.
