Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger suggests that he expects West Ham United to be fitter than his team when they meet in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has suggested that he does not expect his side to be at the same 'physical' level as West Ham United.

The Gunners meet the Hammers at the London Stadium on Wednesday night, with Wenger's team having a day's less recovery time ahead of the derby showdown.

West Ham defeated Chelsea in East London on Saturday, with Arsenal not drawing with Southampton until the following afternoon, and Wenger feels that their opponents have "a big advantage".

The Frenchman told reporters: "They had 24 hours more recovery time. They have a big advantage on that front. Physically, suffering in the third game. We will see."

Wenger has indicated that he may look to rotate his squad on a more regular basis over the Christmas and New Year period.
