Arsenal's Arsene Wenger: 'We can handle Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge'

Arsene Wenger insists that his Arsenal team can handle Liverpool's prolific strikeforce of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is confident that his side can cope with the threat of Liverpool strikers Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge this Saturday.

The North London outfit could lose their place at the top of the Premier League table if they succumb to defeat at the hands of the Reds when they go head to head at the Emirates.

While Suarez and Sturridge have formed a damaging partnership so far this season, all eyes will be on the Uruguayan, who was the subject of two rejected bids from Arsenal in the summer.

"What's important to me are the players who play for Arsenal, not the players who could play for Arsenal," Wenger said in a press conference. "[Olivier] Giroud has been exceptional since the start of the season and has a different style to Suarez.

"Suarez and [Daniel] Sturridge are among the top strikers in the league. I have complete confidence that we will deal well with this period, the players will be up for it."

Liverpool are two points adrift of the Gunners in the table.
