Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has tipped new signing Olivier Giroud to shine at the Emirates.
Giroud joined the Gunners from Montpellier this summer having helped the French side to the Ligue 1 title with 21 goals last season.
Wenger believes that the 25-year-old can have a similar effect in England and that he will suit Arsenal's style of play perfectly.
"I bought him because he's a real centre-forward and he is an intelligent player," Wenger told Arsenal Player.
"He is a player who developed late and I feel he can integrate in the way we play football and add something to the way we play because he is good in the air.
"He has a good strong body and I feel he has qualities that are needed in our squad. Hopefully he can show that."
Giroud featured for France during Euro 2012, and has won nine caps for Les Bleus overall, scoring one goal.
