Arsene Wenger backs Swansea, Norwich, QPR to stay in Premier League

Wenger confident league newcomers can stay up

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger thinks that newly-promoted Premier League sides Norwich City, Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers have enough resolve to remain in the top flight.

The former Championship trio currently sit together in the middle of the table and the Gunners boss thinks that all three clubs have proved their worth against the best in the league.

"It indicates what I have said many times - the quality in the Championship has improved," Wenger told the Arsenal's official website. "When you speak about the likes of Swansea, Norwich and QPR they have beaten good sides.

"All three teams play football. The quality of their intensity and desire to play football in the Premier League has gone up.

"It looks like [the newly-promoted teams] will [stay around]. You cannot just win games on desire and commitment. If you can master the ball, that can last."

The Frenchman takes his team to Carrow Road to take on Norwich tomorrow.
