Theo Walcott to undergo abdomen surgery

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott will undergo surgery on his abdomen, ruling him out of England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The 24-year-old was forced to miss the Gunners' 3-1 victory over Stoke City on the weekend with the problem.

He is now expected to sit out next month's matches with Montenegro and Poland respectively as he recovers from the operation.

Walcott has made 10 appearances for Arsenal and England so far this season.
