Paul Scholes: 'Arsenal don't have the balls to beat Tottenham Hotspur'

Paul Scholes doubts that Arsenal have the necessary character to collect all three points from their clash away at rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has questioned whether Arsenal have the "bottle or the balls" to beat North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger's men will make the short trip to White Hart Lane having lost their last two Premier League matches, which has left them three points adrift of second-placed Spurs and six behind leaders Leicester City.

In terms of the title race many believe that it is now a must-win game for the Gunners, but Scholes has claimed that the players do not have the character to collect the crucial three points.

"[Spurs] can virtually put Arsenal away with a win," he told BT Sport.

"The question about Arsenal is, have Arsenal got the bottle to go there and win a game after the two results they've just had?

"I doubt whether they've got the bottle or the balls to go on and do it."

Scholes shared his opinion following Arsenal's 2-1 loss at home to Swansea City last night.
