Sagna slams Johnson for broken leg

Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna has said that Norwich City's Bradley Johnson intentionally stepped on his leg, causing a broken fibula in yesterday's game at the Emirates.

The injury has meant that Frenchman Sagna will miss this summer's European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.

Speaking of Johnson, Sagna, 29, told French sports paper L'Equipe: "I think he did it on purpose.

"He stepped on my leg. Play continues, I get back on my feet. And when I tried to control the ball, I felt a crack, just like the first time at Tottenham.

"He stepped right where the plate was. I think the plate pressured [the bone]. It's a neat break, just above the plate."

Sagna also expressed his confidence that he would come back better than ever from the injury.

France have been drawn with co-hosts Ukraine, England and Sweden in Group D of Euro 2012.
