Lukas Podolski claims that he will score "a lot of goals" for Arsenal next season.

Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has said that he will score "a lot of goals" for the Gunners next season.

The former Cologne forward, who was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the second half of the last season, has since agreed terms with the London club and admits that he is "looking forward" to settling in.

"I think I'm going to score a lot of goals for Arsenal," he told The Independent.

"It's a great team with a great coach, great fans and great stadium. For me, it's a good move.

"I speak some English so I don't think it's going to be difficult for me to settle in. I'm looking forward to it."

Podolski spent three seasons with Cologne in his second stint at the club.
