Mesut Ozil wins PFA Fans' Player of the Month award

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has been named as the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for April.

Ozil missed over 12 weeks of action through injury earlier this season, but the German international discovered his best form last month during an unbeaten spell for the Gunners.

At the start of the month, Ozil netted a free kick in the 4-1 victory over Liverpool before he played his part in the club reaching the FA Cup final with a 2-1 triumph over Reading.

The former Real Madrid man saw off the likes of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard to pick up the accolade.
