Michael Owen: 'Zlatan Ibrahimovic exactly what Arsenal need'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is exactly the type of striker that Arsenal should be looking to sign in the summer, according to Michael Owen.

Michael Owen has claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be the perfect summer signing for Arsenal.

The 34-year-old is out of contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season and he has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger does not tend to swoop for players over the age of 30, but Owen believes that he should make an exception for the Swedish frontman.

"I can envisage him in the Arsenal team. He is exactly what they need," the ex-Liverpool and Manchester United striker told BT Sport.

"A big-name centre-forward - the fans have been calling for that for ages. He'd love London and the Premier League."

Ibrahimovic has netted 144 goals from his 170 outings in a PSG shirt.
