Laurent Koscielny says that Arsenal are in a "war" with six other teams to try to finish in the top four and earn a Champions League spot this season.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has insisted that his side need to maintain their focus if they are to finish in the top four this season.

The Gunners slumped to a 1-1 draw at Southampton on Tuesday and now face Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in their next three Premier League games.

The French centre-back firmly believes that the North London outfit need to be at their best if they are to beat their rivals to a Champions League spot.

"It is very difficult, it is a race and I think there are five or six teams who can finish in the top four," Koscielny told Arsenal Player.

"Every game you [look out for] the other scores, but if you don't win your match then it is nothing to see these results. It is very important to get the three points every time and then look for the other scores afterwards.

"Every weekend is difficult, it is a little war. It is very important to fight together until the finish. Now we have a lot of very important games against teams who want to play in next season's Champions League so it is vital to stay focused on these matches and win."

Arsenal travel to Swansea City in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
