Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has said that suggestions Arsene Wenger could be given the boot at Arsenal are “utter rubbishâ€.
The Frenchman’s position has come under question after losing talisman Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, as well as suffering an 8-2 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United.
Despite the increasing pressure on the 61-year-old to turn around the Gunners' fortunes, Hill-Wood admitted that all relevant parties are “happy†with Wenger.
"It's complete and utter rubbish and absolute nonsense [that Wenger would be sacked]. I think he is happy enough and we are happy enough," The Daily Star quotes Hill-Wood as saying.
"We have brought some new players in and although I don't know that much about many of them I think, generally speaking, they are going to improve the squad.â€
Meanwhile, Arsenal resume their Premier League campaign this weekend with a home fixture against Swansea.
