Arsenal will be without Gervinho for the next month after suffering considerable damage to his ankle.
The 25-year-old was stretchered off in his side's 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the weekend, and a scan has revealed that he will miss the next four weeks.
Gervinho has scored three goals in five league games this season to help Arsenal to sixth place in the Premier League table.
However, the Ivory Coast frontman's injury will keep him out of matches against Manchester United, Schalke 04 and Tottenham Hotspur.
