Danny Welbeck: 'I have more to offer'

Danny Welbeck believes that there is more to come from him in an Arsenal shirt next season.

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has insisted that he will get even better next season.

The England international netted eight goals in his debut campaign with the Gunners, helping them to finish third in the Premier League and retain the FA Cup.

Welbeck will face competition from Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott for the central striker's role, but the 24-year-old says that is a good thing for him.

"Competition is healthy as it gives the manager a selection headache, which is the best for the team to drive us forward and keep improving," he told Arsenal's official website.

"With the selection of players the manager has got you can use people in different styles and positions, which is only going to help the squad. I'm sure that when anyone is called upon, they are going to give 100 per cent to try to stay in the team for the next game.

"Wherever you play on the pitch, whether it be the left, on the right or down the middle, you are going to give you best. I know I definitely have more levels to go to, and I am really looking forward to doing that next season."

Welbeck moved to the Emirates Stadium from Manchester United last September.
