Hector Bellerin reveals secret behind his emergence as Arsenal's fastest player

Hector Bellerin reveals the secret behind his becoming the fastest player at Arsenal, beating Theo Walcott.

Hector Bellerin has revealed what he does behind the scenes to make him Arsenal's fastest player.

The right-back took the title from Theo Walcott when the team carried out a speed test last summer.

"Some people are born fast," Bellerin told the club's official website. "I've always been pretty quick for my whole career. It gets to the point that you have to do something about it.

"For the past two years I've been working a lot on the power in my legs - all of that has helped me. Everything you do off the pitch always shows so you have to work on yourself physically as well, it's not just working on your touch. That's probably the secret. I doubt I'm the fastest player in the world!"

The Gunners are third in the Premier League table and will round off their season with games against Manchester United, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and an FA Cup final against Aston Villa at Wembley.
