Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has insisted that he is enjoying playing football more than ever as he approaches his 32nd birthday.
The Spaniard, who turns a year older next month, has made 32 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions this season.
Despite being one of the more senior players at the Emirates Stadium, Arteta believes that he is getting better with age.
"When you get to know your body and you have more experience, you are able to learn and read the game better," he told the club's official website.
"It makes it easier for you and this is probably the time when I'm enjoying my football most, so I want to carry on. For me the age is only a number, I feel very good.
"There will be a day where you start to drop but for me personally now, if I can play every three days, I'd rather do that."
Arsenal continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to Stoke City.
