Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal in summer?

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to leave the Emirates this summer, and has allegedly identified former Gunner Mikel Arteta as his replacement.

Wenger, who signed a new two-year deal in North London at the end of last season, has a clause in his contract that merits him a review at the end of the current campaign.

According to The Mirror, Wenger is having doubts about honouring the second year of his deal and has eyed up Arteta as his replacement.

The newspaper says that Wenger is an admirer of the Spaniard's organisational skills on and off the pitch, and has held informal talks with the Manchester City assistant coach.

Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League table, five points outside the top four.
